1). Karijini National Park

Karijini National Park consists of over 6,000 square kilometres of natural real estate and is located about 1200 kilometres from Perth. Here you will find some of the most colossal mountains rising out of flat valleys.

Dales Campground is one of the sites located in the park and includes facilities such as barbecue sites, picnic tables, walking trails, bush toilets, and a visitors centre with a small kiosk.

The campground is also close to Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool, so you can choose to either go for a swim and hike up to the Circular Pool.

2). Cape Le Grand National Park

Cape Le Grand National Park is located 45 minutes away from Esperance. At this amazing national park, you can find an array of beautiful, white sandy beaches, some even being voted the best in Australia.

There are numerous activities to do at the Cape Cape Le Grand Campground, like swimming, fishing, or even hiking as there are also walking trails available so you can see the park in all its glory.

You might even get the chance to spot pygmy possums and the unique wildflowers! 

The Cape Le Grand Campground also has various amenities like kitchens, gas barbecues, picnic tables, solar-heated showers, and flushing toilets. 

3). Belvidere Campground

Belvidere Campground is nestled within a forest and is located in the Leshenault Peninsula Conservation Park.

Belvidere Campground is suitable for caravans and has 11 camping sites that each have their own table and wood barbecues.

Campfires are also permitted in fire rings; however, there is no running water on-site, so make sure you have your own supply!

4). Conto Campground

Conto Campground is located right outside the Margaret River and is not far from Conto Springs Beach, a beautiful beach area where you can swim, surf, bodyboard, and simply relax.

The campground is well sheltered and is surrounded by peppermint tree woodlands. There are around 116 sites to book, each with their own facilities such as camp kitchens, picnic tables, and undercover areas.

You can also find the Cape to Cape walking track here, so this will definitely be another adventure for the books!

5). Parry Beach

Parry Beach is situated at William Bay National Park, which is known for being a popular surfing destination. Parry Beach spans about five kilometres and merges with Mazzolettie Bach where visitors can visit the Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks.

The campsite is managed by a team of volunteers and some of the facilities include solar-powered hot showers, camp kitchens, public toilets, and even a boat launching area.

There are also public picnic tables dispersed within the campsite and firewood is sometimes offered. Dogs are also allowed.

6). Four Mile Campground

Four Mile Campground the perfect place to go to if you want to go on bush walks that have amazing views of the ocean.

If you’re lucky, you’ll even be able to find southern right whales that are often seen by the bay with their young calves during the winter months.

There are about 15 campsites available in the campground with a gas barbecue facility and picnic tables set up in the campground. Pets are not permitted and there is no fresh running water, so anticipate this!

7). Francois Peron National Park

Francois Peron National Park is famous for its red cliffs, white sand, and blue waters. Located in the Gascoyne region, at the national park you can spend your days going swimming, snorkelling, canoeing, fishing, and bushwalking.

There are also various campsites available such as the Big Lagoon, South Gregories, Bottle Bay, Whalebone Bay Campground, and many more. 

8). Monkey Mia

Managed by WA Parks & Wildlife, Monkey Mia is another popular and famous holiday destination in Western Australia. Here, you can see wild bottlenose dolphins that visit the area every morning.

If you’re lucky, you can help out park rangers hand feed the dolphins with fresh fish!

There are various beaches at Monkey Mia for every camper to experience. There are also red sand dune walk paths and incredible views that you will probably never forget.

At Denham Seaside Tourist Village, Blue Dolphin Caravan Park, and Shark Bay Caravan Park, tent camping is available. They all have facilities such as gas barbecues and camp kitchens.

9). Ningaloo Station

Ningaloo Station is a 50,000-hectare area upon which numerous campsites can be found. It is located along the coast where you can find rugged ranges, native fauna, and wildflowers.

You can also go fishing, whale watching, snorkelling, and of course, camping on the beach. Each camping area is behind a locked gate in order to prevent overcrowding.

There are also various rules set in place to protect the ecosystems in the area. Some of these rules place restrictions on fires, rubbish, cleaning, and pets. 

10). Cape Range National Park 

Cape Range National Park is not far from the Ningaloo Marine Park. Cape Range National Park is located on the end of the Exmouth peninsula and is recognised for its rocky gorges carved by ancient rivers. 

Popular beaches that you can find here include Turquoise Bay, which has been regarded by the media as one of the top 10 or 20 beaches.

Osprey Bay Campground is a popular campground at the National park, offering 44 campsites located above a rock-shelf shoreline.
